Pink October: Gazin embraces this cause!

The month of October is much more than a transition from the warmth of winter to the bloom of spring. It is the month in which the world paints itself in a single color: pink! A tone, which, by the way, gives life to gas. Which represents femininity, delicacy, strength, and in this month in particular, stamps the flag of a noble cause: the fight against Breast Cancer.

In general, the history of Pink October goes back to the 1990s, when the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation distributed pink ribbons to participants in the Race for the Cure in New York. This simple gesture triggered a global mobilization that culminated in the month dedicated to breast cancer awareness.

This international movement spans 31 days and brings to light vital issues about prevention, diagnosis, and support for people affected by this disease, who are mostly women. Given that Gazin is a women's company, it also embraces this campaign for health.

Awareness and Prevention

The main objective of Pink October is to raise awareness of the importance of prevention. Breast cancer is the most common type among women, and early detection is essential. Regular self-exams, mammograms, and medical appointments are the key tools for successful detection and treatment. With that in mind, have you ever wondered how your health is? Have you done your self-exam? To help you, we have listed the step-by-step self-exam. Check it out:

In order to bring even more information and raise awareness among employees, Gazin has developed a booklet with important information about Breast Cancer and the importance of Pink October.
