Last June 5th, Environment Day was celebrated and the date raised, once again, the reflection: what companies do to contribute to sustainability
Sustainable development and conscious consumption are two issues that we see highlighted around the world. Within this scenario, companies are gaining more and more responsibility. Adopting sustainable measures is essential for a successful business. Proof of this is that a study by Bein.
Here at gas, for example, taking care of the environment, having social responsibility and adopting best governance practices are part of our commitment and priority. We are always in constant evolution when it comes to issues related to caring for the environment. Therefore, we have adopted some initiatives that make a difference. As:
- Our factory is powered by a clean and renewable energy source, contributing to environmental preservation;
- We reuse plastic bags, which generates savings of 300 thousand plastic bags per month and more than 3 million per year;
- All pieces that are not sold are reused in new collections, thus reusing raw materials;
- The reuse of water in the bathing process went from 50 thousand to 5 thousand liters, saving 540 thousand liters of water.
Another point worth highlighting, even though it is not mandatory by law, here at Gazin, we wash the gases that are emitted from within the industry, to return to the environment. Furthermore, we have a treatment plant that takes care of all water with impurities that comes from the production of semi-jewelry. In large tanks, these impurities are decanted and, as a result, the water is released cleanly into the sewer, without causing damage.
These are practices that we at Gazin consider important, since here at the company, sustainability is also treated as a business strategy, mission and priority.
